The food was amazing so glad we chose to come here. Everything from the service to friendly staff and atmosphere was spot on. We were going to do the 3 course bit im so glad we went for the 2 course. The meals are very generous. We had the cauliflower soup and sweet potato chips followed by the slow roasted pork belly and lamb shank both with veg. Then finished with the vanilla creme brulee. Would highly reccomended On Obi to everyone and hope to go back again soon.

The mains we chose were quite attractive but surprisingly tasteless. Mains were a choice of protein all served with either vegetables or salad and fries. The menu is a also a set price whereby you must choose between having 2 course or 3 course option. This didn’t really match the pricing level of the restaurant and felt more ‘dining hall’.

I did not enjoy the roasted pumpkin gnocchi as it was dry & bland. The accompanying salad was delicious.
My partner was unimpressed to receive plain boiled broccoli accompanying his barramundi; although, the fish was cooked nicely.
$55 for 1 main & 1 dessert is expensive for bistro food, especially for the food we received. Not value for money.
One of the waitresses was wearing brown pants with white flowers; hardly professional for hospitality.
Overall, we were unimpressed & are unlikely to dine at Obi again.

Pomodoras is a hidden gem. We stayed at the cabins next door and had a wonderful stay but the food was the highlight. Great value for money and the flavours were absolutely brilliant. We will definitely be back just to dine at the restaurant and have told all our friends. Keep up the great food.

They had a great personal touch when we told them it was our anniversary in our booking and they wrote "happy anniversary" in chocolate on the dessert that we ordered which was very sweet. Food needs a lot of improvement, sophistication & authenticity. We chose 2 course meal, selecting entree/main & main/dessert option. Carpaccio & (GF) gnocchi needed sophistication. Xmas turkey & dessert pudding appeared store bought rather than chef-prepared. Wine selection was lacking. Some options not available as they said it was their last week serving & had not reordered due to 4 week closure. Ambiance was lovely & service was fine. Lovely little local place, but food would need to improve if we were to return.

We had a wonderful dinner, the Beef Carpaccio is excellent and melt in the mouth.
Rib eye was perfectly cooked medium rare also melted in the mouth. Cream Brule was spot on the finish. Great service and attention to detail. Will definitely visit again.

The entrees were OK, but the mains were very average. Nothing I don’t cook on a regular night. Our order was mixed up and when Sent back to swap chips for veg which is what I asked for, staff member seemed disgruntled over their mistake and not accomodating at all. Blonde lady, not the young girl. Anyway it was our anniversary. We’re happy to pay good $ but we won’t be going back, the online reviews did not line up and we felt we overpaid for the food and service. Disappointing as we like to support local.

I brought a group of 9 and everyone loved tbis place! A tucked away little gem right in the heart of Maleny with great food and friendly, attentive staff. We needed a bit of flexibility with our numbers and booking time. From the booking app it seemed that this wasn't possible, but a quick phone call to the venue sorted this out and they were happy to accommodate our needs. Thanks On Obi, we'll be back for sure!

The service was incredible and the view was just breathtaking, the rooms were clean and well maintained and the owners were so kind and welcoming. It was the best experience I've had in a b&b it made you feel like high class and you were in pure luxury.
