Please be aware that when visiting The Reverie Mon to Thu, you will need to pay the entrance fee to the park, which has been reduced to £3.50 per person for those diners with a reservation. Please pay at the gate on arrival. Normal entry fee applies Fri - Sun during the day. Please see the Reverie page on the Buckland Park Lake website for more details (there is no admissions fee due for evening reservations).
Our relaxed restaurant, The Reverie is tucked into the landscape, yet offers a wonderful elevated view over the main lake. We can seat 50 inside and around 80 out on the terrace. Tables are allocated on a first come, first served basis, and are allocated to our inside capacity as we do not have an undercover area outside, should it rain.
The Reverie will be open year-round and we are prepared for colder months with our log burner to keep you toasty and warm inside, while still being able to appreciate the views outside with our large glass doors.
For disabled visitors we offer 2 disabled parking spaces directly outside. The Reverie and its toilet facilities are fully accessible. For new parents we also provide baby changing facilities and buggy parking (no buggies inside please). We can warm baby bottles and food on request.

Frequently Asked Questions- How do I book The Reverie?
- To visit The Reverie during park hours you will need to buy a ticket or be a member. After park hours you can book a table direct with The Reverie (with no need to pay an entry fee). An exception to this rule is if you are in the park as part of a club booking eg swim or SUP session. You are welcome to visit the park or The Reverie for up to one hour before or after your session. If you want to stay longer please buy a ticket or become a member.
- What facilities do you have for parents with babies?
- We offer baby changing facilities in both our toilets, both in The Reverie and in our Outdoor Activity Centre. We have a buggy park outside The Reverie and offer bottle and baby food warming.
- Is there disabled access?
- For any disabled visitors The Reverie and OAC are wheelchair friendly.
- Do you have parking?
- Yes we have parking for 150 cars. To encourage visitors on foot and bike, you will receive a discount off your entry ticket.
- Are you open every day?
- We plan to open every day apart from 25th and 26th December, but there may be unforeseen closures due to adverse weather.
- Do you cater for parties and special events?
- Yes we do, but please call us to discuss your requirements as we may not be able to accommodate every aspect of your party or event.
- Can I hire the pavilion for private dining?
- Yes you can but please note that there is a separate service charge payable for the use of this unique space. You won't be disappointed and your guests will be amazed!

I enjoyed my visit with a friend very much. The weather was very kind and we were able to enjoy it, being near to the window and the lovely view.
The staff were friendly and helpful but unobtrusive and we enjoyed the food, especially the fush goujons. The lavatory seemed clean and welcoming.
If there was anything that could be improved, the tea seemed very strong, even though there was just one teabag in each teapot.

We had a really nice lunch at this hidden gem. Good and reasonably priced menu, beautiful setting, staff were friendly and helpful. Childrens menu inc. Activity/colouring pencils was much appreciated.
One of the dishes was over cooked which is why I marked food 9/10. (It was courteously removed from the bill)
We also felt the restaurant could benefit from a little music for ambience, but maybe more personal choice. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back soon.

Couple of niggles.
1. Hand sanitizer on the tables is a good idea but the bottle on our table hsd sanitiser (or something) spilled down the side so would be good to just give them a check between covers and clean if required.
2. Sugar lumps were served with coffee but there were no tongs etc to take them from the pot. I used my teaspoon but many wouldn't and just grab them by hand which isn't the most hygenic.
3. My 11 year old son ordered a Coke to take away after the meal and was given a glass bottle which may be problematic for visitors and/or wildlife if dropped and broken. A recyclable cup would be a better option in my opinion.
Other than that we had a fantastic time and will be back.

Suggestion that the entry fee is redeemable in the restaurant.

We enjoyed every moment everything was first class.? We loved the food and the waitresses were superb great atmosphere too. Sovlooking forward to returning. Only comment is the lack of information re parking. We r fine as disabled parking which is good but difficult for others to know where to park. Great evening will be back soon!

Lovely roast dinner, better than a lot if the pubs in the area. Excellent gluten free roast for my guest as well where the gravy actually tasted of something. Very relaxed and chilled atmosphere with lovely views. Would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed visiting Buckland Lakes...amazing and beautiful.... more than I imagined. The only downfall at the moment is the lack of parking nearer the Riviera restaurant...for people who find the climb from the main carpark too much..,.Hope to come again soon. Best Wishes ..Heather Edwards.
