We thought we had booked a high tea, we were disappointed to find that was untrue. I had called up n and asked what to do and followed instructions. Then when asked on the day we got two different answers about what to do in the future. One was call 24hrs in advance. The other was to book online (which we did but nothing you can nominate for a high tea). When I originally called they were not very helpful and seemed hurried/ annoyed I had called.

Great service and really warm staff. Some dishes are great like chicken biryani, kale chaat and of course the drinks. Some dishes can be enhanced like paneer gravy. The seats are too low and digs in so children need propping up. But otherwise it is always a heart warming experience to be at Masala Kitchen.

We loved Masala Kitchen. Nice surprises with the 'pastry pie' presentation of an excellent vegetable biryani, tasty Okra Dish and Chicken tandoori/tikka. Servings were ample and service from staff was impeccable. Special mention of Mairin our waitress who was very professional in her knowledge of the dishes and attention throughout the meal.

Had an absolutely superb evening at Masala. Food was outstanding -- delicious and the perfect level of spiciness. The pinwheel samosas were mouthwateringly delicious. We were made to feel very welcome and given containers to take the food we couldn't finish home with us. Loved being able to sit outside and undercover. Will be back very soon.

Best value best tasting Indian food anywhere. The cocktails are amazing. The teas are amazing. The staff really know their stuff. It's just near perfect. It's a bit crowded noisy and not the atmosphere the great food deserves. But on a nice evening to sit outside and sip a cocktail and then eat. I think it's the best restaurant and cocktail bar anywhere in the area.

One of our regular restaurants in Lane Cove which we visit every couple of months. Food was excellent as always. We were there on a Wednesday night and seemed to be competing with a fair few take away customers but that's have our group plenty of times for conversation and go through the extensive array of Gin cocktails.

Some of the staff were very friendly, some seemed like they were being inconvenienced by customers. I appreciate that masks make it harder to communicate. Also, it would be great if we could book a high chair when booking online. Unfortunately by the time one became available, we had finished our meal. All reservation requests must be accepted with courtesy and professionalism. If a reservation is requested by phone, the customer must never be told to book online. Furthermore, the customer should never be insulted by asking if they are an old person, suggesting that old people don’t understand or do t have the ability to use technology. It would be more appropriate to let a phone call goto voicemail and let the Customer leave a voicemail. When the reservation is made, the customer should receive a courtesy call confirming the reservation.

I love Lane Cover Masala Kitchen - but what has made it stand out from others in the Canopy is not only the lovely service and food, but the entertainment of having a live singer is brilliant. We particularly have loved Skivy& Co and Rose Burn and will return to see more of this

Food was excellent. Service was very good and attentive Only small comment is that the main courses for the 3 of us came out at different times ( quite separated ). The kitchen must have been under stress. If we had all been sharing food as is usually the case at Indian restaurants, it wouldn’t have mattered at all. We will certainly be returning as we enjoyed the food !

We liked the food and the gin cocktails were great. While the waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable, we were given a table away from the main area and as a result the service did suffer. Overall we enjoyed it and would come back again.
