I just love Boardwalk Cafe! After visiting many gaming cafes in many cities, I think this is still my favourite: best selection and organization of games, atmosphere that is both clean but also cozy and chill, surprisingly excellent quality of food and snacks, drinks etc. Great service and feels very relaxed. I never spend less than 5 hours on a visit here, and I don't even live in Abbotsford, I drive in to enjoy it and wish something this good were closer to me!

We had the Flight of Candy - what a cool idea! Maybe consider having red licorice on the list, as we would have definitely ordered that as one of our 4 options - they could be cut in half so they aren't too tall for the glass.
We also played Wingspan and it was a fun game. You may want to find a way to reinforce the birdhouse dice roller so it lasts as long as possible.
Our experience there was a nice, wholesome, enjoyable, family-affirming follow-up activity for my son and I to do after having visited my dad in palliative care.

There were lots of boardgames but lots of strange ones. I think larger collection of classic boosts games will be beneficial. We were group of 7 so we could only play classic games like monopoly. Exploding kittens would've been interesting but I couldn't find it. Maybe it was in the drawers...

This was our first time going to boardwalk cafe and games, and we will definitely go again. It’s so awesome there’s a place where you can play games indoors and just hang out with friends, especially on a day when the weather was way too hot. The food was overall good but the popcorn was mediocre. Great experience and nice staff.

The bad - tried the garlic cheese bread. Nice to see new things! Tasted good, but very greasy. Not sure if there’s any way you can fix that before plating it, but still going to try it again. :-). I’m sad that you removed the black cherry soda. :-( Don’t remove the black cherry cider! Lol
The good news - very happy you have veggies as a side option now! Service was great even though you were clearly swamped when we arrived. The staff are always happy and pleasant people, and we appreciate it!

We had a very good time! The service for food was very fast even with our large group and the games were fun and we found everything we wanted to play and more. I will say however that the Splendor game we were playing with had pretty old cards that seemed to be on their last life, however it did not detract from game play.

Good food, the menu is limited which is fine for most, but it's extremely limited for people with dairy allergies or intolerances. A couple more dairy-free options would be great considering how common these restrictions are.
It can be a bit loud since this is an all-ages place. I will just bring some hearing protection next time.

thanks so much! We really enjoy coming in! Sometimes nearby tables are a bit loud and a little challenge for my daughter but I understand there's not all that much that can be done about that, just the nature of having lots of folks playing quieter or rowdier games all nearby. We asked if we could move to a table a little further from the main noise source and we were accommodated in doing so very cheerfully which was terrific :-)

We went for a first date here, and it was overall a great experience. It was my date's first time and she really enjoyed herself. She wants to return some time in the future. The only drawback was how loud the main area was, but it was ultimately pretty minor as we had a great time.

popcorn machine was broken (unfortunate cuz it's my favourite gaming snack) and they were out of some beverages.
Lighting was a little bright, but I get it's a boardgame place so light is important, just down a touch so it wasn't so blaring would be nice.
