As a former Chef (and a daily customer) I found the BISTRO to be a very relaxed and laid back experience. It was my Birthday and I got some preferential treatment from the Staff and Josh, their Chef.
I had the Goat Curry (delicious) and some Mushroom soup, made especially for me. I finushed off with Tiramisu, which I always find underwhelming at most places. However, Chef Josh's recipe is a definite contender to my own (World Famous) recipe. Very similar and very tasty.
My Wife had Beef Barley Soup. Hers is hard to beat as she uses Oxtail to make the base. This was a very good bowl. Her Stir Fry was ginormous and I benefitted from the leftovers for my lunch next day. The cheesecake was good too.
Unfortunately, a Party of 10 who had reserved a table, never showed up, so we had the place pretty much to ourselves ... and it was pouring rain. It will be interesting to see how their dinner nights work out. There is a lot of residences in the area, so it shouldn't be hard to draw them in. They have built a decent day crowd.
Looking forward to returning again for another taste soon!

Overall pretty good for a simple bite. Food was good, but I did have a reservation for 4 people for a lunch for my friend’s birthday & when we arrived, there were no tables of 4 available that I could see until he brought us into the back where there was a “private room” set up. I’m not sure if maybe they don’t check their reservations, or maybe just that I said it was a birthday so they gave us the room but it was extremely odd. The room had no windows & it almost looked like it was a storage room. There was a plastic fold out table set up with a table cloth made out of this weird spandex kind of material. It was not what I had in mind. When a table cleared shortly after we sat down, I asked a worker if we could sit there & he was nice enough to allow us. The staff was friendly, but the table in the back just really threw me off. I would go again but I would write in the notes section of the reservation that I want a table in the main area.
