Jedyne zastrzeżenie- w makaronie z prawdziwkami nie było kawałków grzybów- wiem, że to nie sezon, ale są mrożone. Poza tym dania były bardzo smaczne. Ceny adekwatne. Generalnie polecam. Ja tam z chęcią wrócę.

When, me and my wife arrived for our reservation the place was completely packed, we ended up having to wait for 20-30 minutes for a table to open. Here is why this place is outstanding. They acknowledged us, they were transparent , they gave us free drinks while we waited and the food was the best pasta dish I had my entire time in Italy. They knocked everything out of the park, the food , the customer service and the value. This is a must visit , if you are Venice.

We loved just about every thing about Osteria Fanal del Codega. The staff were very friendly and professional. The wine list was limited but exceptional. The food was done perfectly.
As for the ambience, please DIM the lighting. I don’t like bright lighting at dinner. The track light heads were so bright shining in my eyes I asked a server to move them. A dimmer switch could help lower the brightness. Many heads were shining in patrons eyes/tables like a spotlight. Dimmer lighting will make ambience perfect!

Words can't describe how much we loved this place! The food was amazing - we had the mussel and clam starter, saffron risotto with lobster, and the florentine steak. All perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. We were so full we had no room for dessert but our neighbors to the left enjoyed the creme brulee and tiramisu and said they were delicious. Melon and limoncello shooters finished off the evening. We ate at 2 other places during our time in Venice and would have eaten here every night if we could have - it was that good! The other 2 establishments are on many travel sites "must eat at" lists and they don't hold a candle to this place. This is a family business and everyone was so lovely. We had drinks while we waited and they made us feel welcome even though it was a very busy night. They even called a water taxi for us at the end of the evening which picked us up right outside the restaurant.

I revisited this restaurant with my daughter a year after visiting with my wife and friends. The food was superb when we visited previously and was looking forward to a particular baked fish dish on the menu. On arrival and checking the menu the dish was no longer on the menu. I asked the waitress and she said they would gladly cook this dish although not on the menu but would take 30 minutes. 20 minutes later I was tucking in to the most fabulous food along with my daughter who chose the sausage truffle pasta. Everything was fabulous including the bill which was under €75. We were only in Venice for 3 nights but booked for a second visit and had just as good an experience although tried something else on the menu. This restaurant is a gem and outstanding value for money.

The food was fantastic. From the caprese and the scallop appetizers to the salmon entrees or the trofie pasta with sausage and truffle cream sauce, it was excellent. It was also reasonably priced but what we are still talking about days later is how delicious the meal was.

Our overall experience was the food was exceptional, the atmosphere was conducive for a relaxing evening and the service was attentive while not being intrusive. Our server came to our table to let us know early that a delay had caused one of our party’s primary pasta to be delayed. She was open and honest and the delay was not long. This restaurant will easily make our recommendation list!

Although we were early for our reservation Luigi was extremely kind enough to give us a lovely table outside. We enjoyed our starter which was sardines done to perfection and for main courses we ordered a Seafood pasta and a baked fish with vegetables. Although, the baked fish dish took a while we loved the delay as we enjoyed our surroundings and Luigi kept coming up to us many times apologising and to check if we were OK. Great place to visit value for money and the entire staff was so helpful.Thank you Luigi you were really great..with such a busy evening running from table to table making all the guests happy.!

Food was amazing and very thoughtfully prepared and plated. Flavours were rich and layered, and the scallops were in a sauce that I want again! We ended with some flavourful Amaro and a unique meloncello, and in a grand gesture, they put that on the house. Great night. Great food. Highly recommend this place!

Overall the food was amazing. Veal liver was cooked perfectly and was really good, and I'm not really a fan of liver. The sausage and truffle cream lived up to the reviews. The only thing I would recommend is that they offer a gluten free pasta and gluten free crackers to start. Our waitress was very nice and went and bought my boyfriend some crackers so that he could have something to put the salmon tartare on.
