The food is always freshly cooked and very large portions.
The only negative is the dining chairs are in need of replacing as they are looking very tired and worn and a little scruffy

Slightly smaller main course would give room for a dessert. This would also increase sales to ensure this fabulous pub continues to produce amazing food.

If you like the look and ambience of an old style pub, with the low ceilings and oak beams, then this is the pub for you. Sunday lunch is amazing, and with friendly staff who are only too willing to please.

Lovely time from start to finish, would have loved a starter and dessert but having visited before I knew the portion sizes were on the large side so just had a main meal which was lovely.

A lovely old pub.Everything was great,when a complaint was made about 1 meal this was removed from the bill.

A lovely setting, but definitely use sat nav to find it. The dining room was very pleasant as were the staff. The food was excellent. We had roast lamb on a Sunday and it was very good. I would have liked more than two parsnips but I'm sure they would have obliged had I thought of asking at the time. Extra points for providing an additional jug of gravy without being asked! Would go again.

First time at the Sycamore Tree and we were very pleasantly surprised at how lovely it all was. Lots to choose on the menu for a vegetarian too which was really nice as I often struggle to find something that I enjoy . We really enjoyed our meal and the staff were lovely and friendly. We went for Sunday lunch, I have to say the food was delicious, lovely roast potatoes & parsnips, would have liked some more seasonal vegetables as the portion for two people was a bit small but overall it was great. We had Baileys' Cheesecake for dessert and it was great. Would definitely go again, lovely pub and very friendly staff.
