The staff were argumentative when I questioned that I had been given the wrong drink. Not to my face though, you could hear them bitching amongst themselves behind the bar. There was an altercation with another customer and they were laughing at the manager who thought it was acceptable to confront the customer. Such a shame that the staff are so unprofessional and clearly not trained to any accreditated level of service. There was an issue with the food not arriving timely but what did arrive was really nice!

Spent ages waiting for our table be ready even though we booked for 5pm. We had wrongly be booked in for bottomless brunch even though I booked in for drinks only so there was confusion as to whether we had to move tables. Was given a jug of cocktails and no glasses, staff run ragged so took a while to get them. Sun was directly shining into our eyes from window. We asked to move the net but weren’t allowed. Left half hour after taking our seats. Disappointed as I have heard so many lovely things.

When we arrived at about 3pm the place was empty, 3 girls came in behind us and ordered cocktails, our food was ordered a panini club Sandwich and an all day brunch and it must have taken almost an hour to get to us, and considering there was nobody else there we did find this unacceptable if I'm honest, it was very cold as well in the bar, overall the menu was us was not really what we expected, and overall the experience wasn't a good one, the waitress was lovely offering us drinks if we needed them but overall we were not the happiest.

What a fabulous afternoon at Verve 37! It really was a bottomless experience. Our lovely server was attentive and friendly, she made our afternoon! Food was delicious, and portions were large. We did the 2 tapas option and were worried that we'd have to top up but there was plenty. Drinks were free flowing and the prosecco was very drinkable. The only low score was for ambiance because the bar was empty most of our time. However, we were a party of 5 so it didn't matter.

We were seated then waited 30mins to be served. Even though the booking was at 6.30, drinks didn’t arrive at the table until around 7.10. The food was only luke warm. The waitress put the food down and left sharply, didn’t ask if there was anything we needed. Halloumi burgers and one of the tapas was missing chilli jam, she could have told us this and offered an alternative. We asked and got cranberry sauce. We were seated downstairs in the bar with the rugby on, not really the kind of atmosphere we were after. Wasn’t a bad night, but wouldn’t rush back.

The waitresses were great, and the food was of a good standard, however it was chaos in the restaurant. A lot of the customers were so drunk, shouting and screaming, swearing, smashing glasses, and running around, and nothing was done about it. Then later the manager came over and told us to stop singing to music was playing and he was really rude, you could tell he was stressed but we were being very quiet compared to the rest of the restaurant so felt like this was not warranted.

We had to que to get to our table that was booked for 5pm, didn’t get seated till about 5:20, got served drinks , ordered food, wrong food came, took the waitress nearly 10 mins to come Bk and asked if we had touched the food, cause it was for the another table, after another 10 mins our correct food arrived, I ordered another jug of cocktail to b presented with 2 glasses off the cocktail that I ordered which only filled half a jug when brought this up with the waitress I got told it was equivalent to a jug bt the glasses only filled half the jug which I had to pay the price off the jug, we then ordered another 2 drinks, then before they arrived I think the lady was a manager came over and said they needed the table and we’d have to leave I explained we’d ordered more drinks her response was they could put them in a plastic cup to take out, so my experience in the verve this time was not up to standard, I’ve always enjoyed going to the verve bt this time was really disappointed.

This was probably the most disappointing meal I've had in the last 4 years. Most of the tapas seemed to be just warmed up frozen pre-prepared food. The peanut sauce with the satay was watery and almost flavourless and the chicken was spongy and appeared to be formed lumps, not whole chicken. The 'salsa' with the Mac and cheese bites appeared to be sweet and sour sauce, and the cocktails didn't taste anything like what I had ordered. The service wasn't great and I had to ask for sauces that weren't brought with the food, not that they were worthwhile anyway. At the end after telling my server that neither the food nor drink were very good at all it was met with a shrug. We didn't finish the food and it was the first time I've ever left a restaurant still hungry. Won't be going back.

Amazing! Michael the bar man was great and helped us to extend our reservation so we got the table longer too. Drinks were lovely and all staff were friendly. Food was stunning and came quickly - excellent price. Only thing was that we were asked quite a few times if we were ready to order food and that made us feel a bit rushed. Would have been better for us to order in our own time. Apart from that it was great!

We booked for outside food I had been raining before we got there.Seats were wet dried quickly with paper blue roll and given four cushions there was more if us whilst eating the food me and the person in the other shed behind was soaked where the rain had gathered in a large join between the two so uncomfortable the girls serving were nice the food was ok nothing special 2 had burgers and the rest had tapas pretty tasteless. Maises food is better more choice and lots of fresh ingredients.

We are very sad to say it was not a good experience. Regular customers in the past but not again. Hardly any food left on menu ...which considering it was only lunchtime was poor. Only one other group of people in there drinking and we waited 45 mins for tapas. Dried out patatas bravas. Tasteless meatballs. We have had loads of meals here before but this was terrible. had a booking at 19:00 for food and drink. We were given a small drinks table next to a door and walkway with people constantly walking past and multiple people coming so close to charge their phones right behind me. We were sat next to a group of 12 obnoxiously loud women who were shouting and later started playing music on a speaker. When we ordered drinks we were told you had ran out of ice only for the next drink to arrive with ice. When we were given a bottle of cider without a glass, we specified no ice and the waitress came back with ice in the glass. The food was appalling. The chicken was burnt, the garlic bread was so undercooked it was as soft as a sponge and I asked for mayo from two separate staff members and it took about 30 minutes for it to arrive. The two portions of halloumi fries that we had ordered came looking and tasting completely different. After speaking to a member of staff and relaying this information and then again to the manager we were told they could not do much. Immediately after telling the manager about this group of people playing music on a speaker the manager just left and did nothing about it. The number of staff who were walking back and forth and did not bat an eyelid was shocking. I do not want a discount nor a “round of free drinks” as I do not wish to return and either way, a round of drinks would have been about £12 when we each spent £15+. I expect a substantial refund to all three of us on the table. I did not receive my deposit off the bill either. This was by far the WORST experience I have ever had. McDonald's serves better. After making various complaints while we were there and for the staff to do nothing about it was very disappointing. I came once before lockdown and I really enjoyed it so to return and receive awful food and service was such a shame. This has all been a shambolic disaster. I already sent this all in an email that I has not been given a response yet. Sort it out, Kunzo

Ordered tapas and No plates or cutlery given with food. Waitress didn’t seem at all friendly or keen on her job. Very rude when asking for menus to give to another table, weren’t wiped down and then given back to us.

We were in the attic room at the top of the building, nice enough for a vip room but desperately needs updating. Service was friendly, and food was good, also we kindly got 15 percent off the bill as we work for the NHS . We would return in the future.

We didn’t have food so I’ve left that at 10 because I know it’s been lovely in the past. The outdoor seating was really nice especially as the weather was so nice. My only bad point is the constant reminders of how long you have left at your table. I knew we were supposed to be leaving by a certain time so I did not feel that the 3 reminders that we had were necessary.

There was a table of four very loud drunk people sitting by the window who completely destroyed the experience. A view I believe was shared by others.
