Great to see The Boat still open. The food was ok the staff were lovely but it lacked the ambience that's really needed in a big building like this. Just needs a bit more 'Spirit of Joy'!

Food was great, service was good too The only negative comment is the table settings. The placemats had an orange plastic that should have been removed for hygiene purposes

The pub and beer garden itself is lovely although due to traffic in can be impossible to talk to others due to noise. Food and drink is pricey, expected essentially double the amount of food i actually received for the price i paid. Not sure how much is cooked fresh. Won't be returning but it was worth checking out.
