If you want a very nice meal in a very nice pub with excellent, friendly staff the Brown Cow is the pub for you. You're made to feel welcome from the minute you walk in the door. And the range of beers is excellent too.

We had a warm reception as soon as we walked in to the Brown cow, the man behind the bar was very friendly and helpful. The waiting staff were also very pleasant. We opted for the Christmas festive menu which was delicious and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend the Brown cow inn.

I've not been since the pub was revamped (clearly a long time!) and as soon as I walked in I loved it! Ambience seemed sociable but spacious, light but with cosy eating areas and the service was attentive, friendly and well organised. we didn'y have to wait long to give our orders or for the food to come. my only point is that, as a vegetarian, there wasn't much choice but I had the soup option as a main which was fine.

Absolutely perfect - first time here but will not be last! Fish and Chip, Scampi, and Sausages and Mash all cooked to perfection, beautifully served - chips sensational, fish was mega fresh - staff were lovely, friendly and very profession. We loved everything. Thank you so much!

Three of us ordered the roast dinner and all three yorkshire puddings were sadly overdone as were the vegetables. Roast potatoes portion was small with each of us only getting two small roast potatoes each.....not good value for money. The fish and chips were good with a good sized portion. Staff were very pleasant too.

Food seems a little above the normal for a bought in pie. The sweet potato salad wasn’t a salad but a half potato topped with its a slice of cheese and then more baby potato’s on the side. Potato and potato ! I didn’t think that value for money or nicely presented. Also no soap in either dispenser in the ladies loo.

The menu seemed slimmed down since we last went. But there were several specials on a board.My chicken dish was lovely but quite expensive for chicken. The staff were lovely. Friendly and welcoming. Cold interior , we had to put our coats on,fish and chips fish looked sad, fish pie in a little bucket not easy to get out and short on fish .Steak pie best of the 4 meals. We will not be going back soon .

It was a bank holiday so the restaurant was fairly busy . Our table was booked for 2.30 and the meal wasn’t served until almost 3.30.I ordered the same meal as last time I visited about 3 weeks ago but it wasn’t to the same standard, possibly a new chef? I

First time lunch with friends. Even though there was a fire, the restaurant was quite cold. Quite a few people ate with their coats on. The food was good and worth the 25 minutes wait. May come back in warmer weather!

There were a few problems - our drinks order was taken but unfortunately was somehow lost so after 15 minutes we had to ask for them again. Main meals took quite a long time to arrive and unfortunately one of them didn’t arrive until the rest of us were half way through eating - and we had to enquire where it was. A further drinks order was incorrect with one drink missing. Food was good and the staff were friendly - it was a shame it was just slightly let down by disjointed service issues.

Unfortunately we had nowhere to park in you carpark at 6.30 totally full so had to drive up to potting shed carpark and pay plus then walk all the way to the brown cow and back on a very cold slippery frosty night not ideal

Didn't enjoy the experience at all. The room was freezing cold so not comfortable. The fish finger sandwich was 2 tiny pieces of cold battered fish in 2 small ovals of rock hard bread on an unhygienic wooden platter with a mound of oily green leaves to make it look bigger! Our friends loaded fries were soggy and unappealing and he left most of it. Over £3 for a Pepsi which was 60% ice. When I told the waitress the fish was cold she just shrugged and when our friend commented on the quality of the conjealed fries she just said he should have put sauce on. Overpriced and unappetising.
