My friend and I enjoyed a really nice dining experience at the Brown Cow on Tuesday 25th May 2026. Although there is a full printed menu, we chose dishes from the Specials Board. My friend chose chicken ballotine and I chose caper brined cod loin. We both had wine to drink. The service was attentive and punctual. The food (and wine) were delicious! We both cleared our plates. My friend commented “This is not just ‘pub’ food, this is restaurant quality food “

We had a warm reception as soon as we walked in to the Brown cow, the man behind the bar was very friendly and helpful. The waiting staff were also very pleasant. We opted for the Christmas festive menu which was delicious and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend the Brown cow inn.

I've not been since the pub was revamped (clearly a long time!) and as soon as I walked in I loved it! Ambience seemed sociable but spacious, light but with cosy eating areas and the service was attentive, friendly and well organised. we didn'y have to wait long to give our orders or for the food to come. my only point is that, as a vegetarian, there wasn't much choice but I had the soup option as a main which was fine.

Two Besties meeting up here every couple of months, always a warm welcome and a cosy feel. We come early doors if we want to sit and chat for ages, later on if we want a busier social buzz. We try other places in Bingley now and again but keep coming back here.

The service was excellent we were well looked after. There was a good vibe as it was quiz night and therefore quite busy. We had reserved a table, the location could have been better as although we were by the fire we were also right in the doorway. We didnt say anything though and I am sure if we had they would have moved us. The food was lovely although a little more expensive than last time I came. £20 for pie and chips !! For me the Chicken pie wasnt great as the pastry was very very salty and took over the whole taste (there was no salt and pepper added as there wasnt any on the table). My friends also had pie although different ones and they thoroughly enjoyed theirs. Overall though a good pub great service and I will return. Only marked down slightly due to my food and location, but that is personal choice.

Very busy so service a little slow, but otherwise good quality food and good ambience . Staff were helpful in ordering a taxi for us. A slight pity that you don’t have a dog-free area in the restaurant. (Not all dogs are well behaved.)
