We had a lovely meal and the staff were extremely helpful with dietary requirements and changing menu items to accommodate this. Our only request would be that the Caesar salad main course be a larger portion.

Fantastic family Sunday lunch at the Silks. Loved the pork belly with crackling and all the trimmings (love that you get yorkshire pudding with pork as well as with the beef). Great kids' menu too and a warm, friendly atmosphere with excellent service. We will be back.

It was good to see the pub well attended on a Thursday evening. Food and service very prompt and friendly - well done. Just need to watch the pricing - it is pitched quite high and might be dissuading some. Perhaps introduce some lower priced options for bar or snug food?

Some of us had the Caesar Salad which tasted good but we felt the portions were very small with only about 2 croutons each and the portions of chips/sweet potato fries were on the small side too. perhaps we're all too greedy! We will be back!

All our main courses were very good and those who had Bakewell tarts loved them. The chocolate fondants tasted very chocolatey (!) but could not detect any caramel. They did not have gooey centres so we would not have them again. Service was friendly if a trifle slow but would not complain as three of our party of five walked for further than planned so we ordered later than would have been expected which was probably a nuisance for the kitchen! Stunning wallpaper in the ladies loo! Have left value for money at 10 as didn't see the bill so don't know. Would come back.
