Three of us shared the chocolate dessert flight. The other two shared the crème brûlée and the red velvet truffle. They didn’t comment on the CB but found cutting the truffle in half nearly impossible. The knife would not go in. I had the brownie and the tart. Both were very hard and, while they looked chocolatey, had little flavour. My friend asked if I liked them, and I replied that I would not order either one again. The server suggested that I take the uneaten half of the tart home. I did. About an hour later I ate it. It was delicious! The crust was chocolatey and crumbly, and the filling was creamy and tasty. I was shocked. What a difference! Then I realized that when they were served at the restaurant they were frozen solid! I suggest you not do that.

Was at the Chardonnay tasting a couple of weeks ago. Food was exceptional. So good we booked a lunch there today. Again the food quality did not let us down. Really good. Kudos to the chef. Promenade is officially my favourite restaurant! Next up …. Bringing my husband back for a smash burger! I will also say the service was excellent as well. Didn’t catch the servers name. Older gentleman. Been there since the restaurant opened. A+ on all counts!

My siblings and I had our Christmas Brunch here and we are glad we chose Promenade. Our server was great, and gave awesome recommendations. The food was amazing! We got the sugar fry bread to start, my sister and I shared the chicken and waffles (only available on the weekends) and the smashed potatoes and we were both stuffed. One brother got the smashed bowl, and he said the pork belly was very well done and perfectly seasoned. Another brother got the eggs Benedict which came on bannock and he raved about it. We will be back for sure!

the staff were attentive and the ambience good. I would like to add: I am currently have limited mobility. There did not seem to be any handicapped parking (as far as I could see) and the parking in general is quite limited. I did have to walk or attempt to walk through the snow about 1 block away, not too bad, but it would be helpful to have this addressed. The washroom was suitable, with extensive grab bars etc installed.

A terrific small plates meal at Promenade. It really exceeded my expectations! The quality and presentation of the food was excellent, and the service prompt and friendly. Hats off to the carpaccio in particular. As good as Passero but not as expensive. We ate in the south dining room area-- it could use some enhancement when money allows. We'll be back!

The service was absolutely wonderful. The venue was fantastic. It was very accessible and easy to get to for us. We had the eggs Benedict and I guess my only complaint was the Bannock base was very cold like it had come out of the fridge or freezer. It would’ve been better had it been warmed up prior to service. The eggs were poached perfectly and everything else was wonderful.

We had incredible service and outstanding food. We both had the carrot, ginger drink which was so refreshing and tasty. I had the pickerel and Gail had the burger of the day on a gluten free bun. I tasted her burger and it was melt in your mouth. We also shared the smashed potatoes and they were outstanding. First time here since the new owners. We will be back! It was excellent. The food, the service, everything. And I especially appreciated the accommodations related to my disability. Didn’t have to fuss with folks, they just did it (quiet spot, turned down music). And I’m always appreciative of that!

The service is top-notch because of top-notch people. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The owner/manager will help out in every area of the restaurant. I saw him washing dishes!!! Very impressive. This restaurant is a neighborhood gem.

Having dinner at Promenade Brasserie has been on our list for a long time. Firstly, because of hearing great reviews from friends that have eaten there, but also secondly because I’ve known Jay since he was a little boy. We are foodies, and love trying new restaurants, new foods and of course new cocktails. Our dinner and drinks last Saturday night surpassed any expectations we could have had - each dish was so beautifully prepared and the flavours were spectacular. I think when you try a dish -and after a couple of bites declare that you could just order two more plates of the same thing that speaks for itself. The staff at the restaurant is definitely second to none. The friendliness and their knowledge about the food being served just added to a wonderful experience. If you haven’t been …. I loved this place. The aesthetic is very homey, like you are taking a seat at the family table. The service was amazing from start to finish, we were checked in on but not so much that it felt overbearing. The food was by far some of my favorite I've had in Winnipeg. It felt like an upscale version of a home meal. The portion sizes were perfect for the cost and for sharing. 11/10 my wife and I will definitely visit again.
