I've been to Sous Sol countless times and it's always a great experience. The ambiance is fantastic, I love the real candlelight, the food is always amazing. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday, had a special table tucked in the corner, and a special meal made for my picky 9 year old who I knew would not try anything on the menu! The service and was impeccable and it was a great evening.

The food was amazing, wife had the steak and I had the wild boar, both were perfect along with the risotto!! Oysters and marrow to start were crazy good too. Eclectic atmosphere which was awesome and the staff were great too!

Absolutely enjoyed our time at Sous Sol. Every bite of food was packed with flavors. The vibes of the restaurant made it feel as though you were not in Winnipeg. They had and interesting drink menu with unique choices. We also felt that it was reasonably priced for the amount and variety of food we had. Would definitely come back in the future.

Fantastic first experience. Only hiccup was the food was a bit slow to come out as we had tickets to a show and we just got out in time, but food was beyond good and worth the wait. Ambience was cool (but it was cold and draughty so we kept our coats on). The servers were fantastic. Great experience overall! Thanks.

had a wonderful time with my partner! the drinks were lovely, food was lovely, ambience, and service as well. we'd like to go back again! we weren't fond of the risotto (the cheese was too strong) but that's not on the chefs, it just wasn't our palette :) lovely taretare as well. the value was just right for what we experienced. see you soon and great work!

We loved our dining experience at Sous Sol. Finding the restaurant in the winter was not fun but once we got there, we were not disappointed. Food, service, and ambiance were outstanding. The only thing that could be improved is the heat. I froze the whole time we were there and wore my coat to keep warm. Aside from that, we totally loved the restaurant.

It tasted like the bordelaise sauce with criminology mushrooms had been made before hand and frozen then reheated for the Beef Tenderloin. Because the mushrooms in the sauce were cold! Just my viewpoint.

We have been to Sous Sol many times - not sure how this establishment manages to keep the food and cocktails so amazing! Even in light of pandemic difficulty Sous Sol was able to rise to ( and above) the occasion ! We enjoyed every delectable dish this visit along with several cocktails and mouthwatering dessert!! Really, it was all good - the food, the service, . . . Scott was very helpful, answered all our questions about the menu. Interesting experience finding a place with no sign on the door nor on the bathroom door. I like that you change your menu frequently. Next time we'll know to make our choices before we come, seeing as how neither one of us has a "smart" phone. My only suggestion would be to turn the volume of the music down a bit t the beginning of the evening. The music well chosen, however. Thanks for the evening. Carolyn

I’ve finally found a restaurant that my husband really enjoyed the food the server we had last night and I’m so sorry I forgot his name he was the best he was the bartender also he was well knowledgeable of the food and made the best drink ever with Wray&nephews I’m hoping he remembers us I gave the biggest tip I’ve ever given because he deserved every penny hands down the best service I’ve received in a restaurant the food was absolutely the best and I will be returning next Saturday with some girlfriends I’m already booked and I shared my experience on Tik Tok

I had visited back in May, it was just in time for the fantastic Mushroom dish. The meal was so good in fact, I came back and brought two friends, they as well as I loved the meal! The drinks were - Genius!! OMG! the chevere cheesecake incredible! If I could have given an 11, I happily would!

The food was amazing. I tried new foods I had never tried before and the waitress was amazing. She was fun explaining the foods and how to eat them. I told my date this might be the best restaurant experience of my life and she agreed.

I was just disappointed that there were no more morels as I was coming for them. My Caesar cocktail tasted a bit off but the wine the server suggested was excellent. I loved the mushroom dish. We also appreciated that the staff were very helpful, we were in the lounge, the new chairs are lovely but we couldn’t rest our feet. So they kindly switched them for us. Your restaurant is our favourite in the city. We will be back.☺️

We had a great evening. I was particularly impressed by the variety of vegetarian and vegan options since the last time we visited pre-Covid. The atmosphere is the same lovely feel, but there are even more reasons to return, as the menu has changed to include many more foods that we eat.

Everything was great! Fantastic drinks with some funny inside jokes. The boar, duck confit and beef tenderloin were exquisite. Succulent crème brûlée to finish everything off. Fantastic evening as usual!
