Dinner at the Bistro is consistently outstanding. Interesting appetizer and main course choices, always very fresh. The ambience is relaxed and relaxing—music and the fireplace has warmed the atmosphere through the winter months.

Our experience at the Bistro was excellent. My only complaint is the cost of bringing a guest, which I realize is not the fault of the Bistro. But since my husband cannot eat, it seems unfair for us to have to pay the guest surcharge. Why can’t our grandson take the place of my husband? But we love the Bistro!

I have eaten at The bistro several times in the past week; my favorite restaurant.
the food has been exceptional. My only issue was the waitress offered escarole
as an appetizer choice; since I wasn't in the mood for soup, I ordered it, and much to my delight escargot was placed before me............delicious in every respect.

Ambiance & Maitre d’ are outstanding. Soup & special appetizer very good. Pad Thai a bit bland, lacked savory/sweet/sour depth of flavor (even with fresh lime—which was nice), though we appreciated it was not overly sweet, typical of Westernized versions. Contained more chicken than we need, wished it had more vegetables that we would have appreciated. Thanks!

have enjoyed the food immensely! the servings are perfect size! not too much food! Love the touch of gelato for dessert with a taste of Louis"cookies. The atmosphere is pleasant but maybe soft background music would help control the volume of fellow diners. the new wall separating the hallway from the dining area should increase the quiet dining ambience!

Loved the mussels and appreciate that the Bistro aims to be a healthy dining venue. You've done a great job creating a nice ambience. Service is great.

I didn’t have to move one button here! My first trip, after hearing rave reviews from others, and it lived up to its billing.

We enjoyed a lovely evening dining with friends. The food was exactly as written and as expected and was hot and delicious. The service was good. Would have liked the server to visit us one time during dinner to refill water glasses. The ambience is fine and probably as good as it can be. The value is fair. Enjoyed the friendliness of the Chef. The Chef's special is a nice thing. We will return.

We really like the creative menus, the freshness and very flavorful preparations, the attractive presentations (including the interesting metal dinnerware)! Perhaps the sodium could be reduced a smidgen. The little candles and greenery are a nice touch, as is, of course, the fireplace! The relaxed atmosphere If the lighting could be reduce a bit more, that would help. The focus on health is much appreciated!
This will be our go-to place for dinner (except when I need a chocolate infusion).

We LOVE the food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!On 10/11 we had the dolmades for appetizer and chicken for main course that were outstanding. Liked the pistachio gelato very much.
On 10/13 we had the Harvard beets and labneh which was phenomenal!
We also had the pounded chicken -excellent!
The raspberry sherbet was excellent and Luis is to be commended for the incredible biscotti!!! We want to eat in the bistro every night!Congrats to Josh, the new chef and staff. Also loved the blue water glasses last night!

Overall we loved The Bistro. The food especially was simple and delicious and portion size was perfect. Our only complaint was the lack of ambience. If the lights in the adjoining classroom could be turned off that would help and please turn the lights down! Far too bright for dinner to be “an experience.” I also suggest using small battery operated candles on each table to give some ambience. A small flashlight might be available for those who need more light for reading the menu…tho there isn’t much to read! The music added a nice touch of ambience!

The pumpkin soup was delicious. I had the chicken as a main course but the toasted pita served with it was over-baked and too brittle to eat. Perhaps basmati rice next time or Indian nan? And skip the pomegranate seeds!

As I told the chef that evening -- our dinner was wonderful. I had the chicken dish and was pleasantly surprised to find the chicken to be flavorful, tender, and juicy (not usual with grilled white meat chicken). This was our second time at the Bistro dinners and our seating for this second visit was much better -- quieter and softly lit. Our previous visit we were along the outside corridor which was brightly lit and bustling with people coming and going. A half wall or shoulder-height planters might make this area more pleasant. Overall -- bravo to Josh and everyone who helped make this Bistro dinner spot!!

Music is important and we appreciated classical but it was way too stormy/stressful. You need quieter piano music (not Beethoven or martial or loud or stressful! like Hadyn) whether jazz or classical or maybe even a mellow guitar.
Also others rightly so suggested 'candles' and dimmer light.
GF and healthier so appreciated but there was some confusion with the servers about what GF actually is and the exceptions to the menu. Otherwise love the concept and menu # of offerings and will go back in the future.
