Frequently Asked Questions- Do I have to order food with my beer?
- Yes, per Massachusetts mandate, food must be purchased with the FIRST round of beer. "Alcoholic beverages may only be served for on-site consumption if accompanied by food prepared on-site. For each customer, an item of prepared food must be ordered at the same time as an initial alcoholic beverage(s) order. One or more shareable food item(s) may be ordered, as long as it/they would sufficiently serve the number of people at the table."
- Do you allow customers who are under 21 years old?
- Depends on the day/time. After 6PM on Fridays and Saturdays, Notch is 21+ ONLY. Aside from these weekend exceptions, we are permitting those who are under 21 when accompanied with a parent or guardian.
- Are dogs/pets allowed in the biergarten?
- Sorry, but we do not allow dogs/pets in the biergarten currently. (Service animals are the exception to this rule)
- Do you accept cash?
- In response to the pandemic, Notch is operating on an entirely touchless system. Unfortunately, this does not allow for us to accept cash payments currently.
- Is there a time limit for how long I can stay at Notch?
- Yes. When making a reservation, please (roughly) indicate how long you will stay. Reservations can be up to 90 minutes long.
- Do I have to order using my smart phone?
- Yes, all ordering is contactless and from your table. There are no servers.
- How do I buy merch and take away beer?
- There is a link on our menu website that takes you directly to our Beer to Go store. Order online and pickup when you are leaving.
- Why can't I make a reservation for more than 6 people?
- Currently, Salem is not allowing more than 6 people per table.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- We require a 24 hour notice for all cancellations. Day of cancellations and no-shows will automatically be charged $25.00. If Notch closes due to inclement weather, you will not be charged.
