RACIST bartender. Truly shocking. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOUR SKIN IS SLIGHTLY BROWN. She served everyone who came to the bar AFTER me and then when she finally got around to my drink she was rude, threw it at me and spilled most of it. Others were offered a smile, an offer to try a small taste and normal bartender service. Everyone else was white. How can any place that treats people like this still be allowed to be in business? It's unacceptable. Shame on you Sweet Basil. Don't bother coming here unless you are white and old. So many great places to eat in Vail. No need to give your money to this please.

I had the most shocking experience at your restaurant. Literally have never experienced such overt racism. This bartender served everyone around me --including 2 parties that sat at the bar AFTER I did. She was rude, threw my drink at me when she finally decided she was ready to acknowledge me and the 3 drinks I ordered, and then spilled some of it. Everyone else (white) was offered a smile, a sip to taste and a pleasant experience. While your server and manager were lovely, the bartender's behavior was overt, rude and unacceptable. Do better. What are you going to do when all those old white people cannot go to your restaurant anymore? I will certainly do my part to warn anyone not to bother with your restaurant. There are so many other wonderful places in Vail. Shame on you.
