This restaurant is an absolute gem. Such a calm and relaxing atmosphere, waiting staff were very nice and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. Sushi took a while to arrive which I am absolutely not complaining about as this told me that it has been prepared fresh. It was perfect. I have been recommending to all my friends. I will 100% be back. One of my new favourite spots in Edinburgh!

Good sushi. We especially liked the Gunkan sushi and the carpaccio tuna. Great service. Bring cash ££££. We were lucky to have some on us as bank transfer for tourists is tough. We’d definitely go back.

I have no words to describe it! The place is beautiful, calm, quiet. Feels like I’m in japan! The sushi is one of the best, if not the best I’ve ever had. Peach sake, to die for! The waitress was the nicest lady ever. Please thank her for us, blonde lady? Maybe polish? Thank you so much for the suggestions and making sure we were happy all the time. What a place. My friend and I had such a lovely night, the food and service was amazing. The only thing I would say that the front door was opened quite a lot and we had to get up and close it. It was cold when it was opened. We will definitely be back again.

After long time we couldnt go to eat at the restaurant, we found the same amazing service. They care about people, how we feel, if everything is ok. I really enjoyed Kenji! The waiting staff were incredibly lovely, attentive and capable. The food was delicious. I particularly liked the soft shell crab roll, the yakitori and the eel nigiri. The booths were super cute and authentic. I will absolutely be back and I would 100 percent recommend! ☺️

Felt very spacious and safe. Kenji installed protective screens between tables and all staff were wearing masks. Service was quick and seamless. The staff were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My food was delicious and I feel their menu was inclusive for many dietary requirements. We had been to Kenji in St Stephens's Street in Stockbridge before its move to Deanhaugh St. The new bigger venue is very good and had a real buzz. The staff were friendly, helpful and mostly attentive. The food was excellent. We really enjoyed our trip and will be back soon.

My daughter and I had a lovely meal here last night. The service and staff were brilliant and the food was fantastic. There was one little thing that prevents me from giving an overall 10 out of 10, and that was our table was a bit sticky and could have done with a good wipe after the last customers used it. Apart from that, top marks!

Heel mooi ingericht, spontane bediening en erg goed eten. Speciale kaart voor vegan en vegetarisch, top. Helaas kon je niet pinnen, dat is toch niet meer van deze tijd.
