We loved everything about it! The house is gorgeous, the furnishings, artwork and serving pieces down to the tea pot were beautiful. The food was so delicious with generous portions. The homemade scones are a must have! Also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his daughter (the chef) who was kind enough to give us a tour of the house and give us some history and facts about the house and area. Will definitely be back! Can't wait to go for dinner!!

We had a delicious brunch! Chicken and waffles, spinach and mushroom queso frittata, and the special pumpkin and chip French toast. Very quaint and quiet atmosphere. Wonderful service.

I love trying new places, my boyfriend is a chef and a foodie so finding a good place to eat is always an adventure we’re willing to take. We went for brunch at the Borland House on Sunday and we were beyond happy with our experience. The food was amazing; served in individual skillets with farm fresh, homemade recipes your pallet will be sure to do a happy dance! The atmosphere was uniquely perfect with touches of history surrounding your table. A must try!!

We enjoyed our early afternoon lunch/brunch here. Our host/chef/server, Keith, was very nice and helpful. My only suggestion for improvement is to offer more than one lunch-type entree. Most choices were brunch-type entrees.

Everything was outstanding, food, service and ambiance. Using plastic utensils is slightly annoying, but who knows when we will no longer have to do that! Really we were all so grateful to have such a lovely meal.

The food was amazingly delicious! My daughter loved the color-changing lemonade but felt it needed a touch more sugar. Both desserts were way too big portions, not necessarily a bad thing but each could have easily served a party of four. Service was not rushed, very friendly. We loved it!

Love the location, food and service. I asked for something to dilute the delicious, spicy cocktail . Our server was young and didn’t think anything could be done, but we kindly asked another server and she easily accomadated us. Food is delicious and love the ambiance and setting! Tables can be a little small for all we wanted to order. I like how food is on separate plates, ie extra side of scrambled eggs but we did need to move some plates to a near by table. What happened to the owner’s mother’s art work on the walls? Made me wonder if it switched owner? Love this place. Looking forward to going again and sitting outside on porch for a cocktail before we eat!

We were really looking forward to our Easter brunch. Overall, food was very good. A little pricey but expected as it was a special occasion. We were disappointed that we had reservations and our table was given away. The owner explained they gave it to a family that walked in. They did pull a table out from some place but it was in an odd area (we felt) and didn’t really want to sit their for our holiday. We decided to wait for the family to finish their meal so we could sit in the dining area. My husband joked they know how to take the reservation, they need to learn how to hold the reservation (Seinfeld reference). The highlight was our waiter Nicholas. He was OUTSTANDING! He was extremely attentive, personable, and had a terrific sense of humor. He was responsible for creating an enjoyable, memorable experience. We know it’s not always easy to balance things in a restaurant, especially on a busy holiday. We would have another meal there . Chicken with waffles and the frittata were delish, as were the pastries!

The table we had was wonderful. We waited a while for our napkins and silver ware. The food was good, but not worth the $32 for the amount of food that was served. The building is beautiful!
