We chose a large seafood platter and a small platter of ribs for three people. Both came with a well dressed, tasty salad. Presentation was very good, the ribs very tasty and the seafood was fresh. The waiter provided excellent friendly service and delivery was fast as we were attending a theatre production within the hour. The deserts were very well presented but not sure about the taste of pandan flavoured brûlée.

We had exceptional service and food on our recent visit to Ginger Olive Restaurant and Grill. We had a group of 11 and everyone's food came to the table within minutes of each other. There was a wide variety of dishes ordered, and everyone commented on how delicious their food was. Very warm staff. Thank you for a lovely lunch. Would highly recommend!

Had a group of 6 getting together for the night. 4 of us had been here before a few years ago. The other couple were very impressed with the night. The restaurant is in a central location close to the railway station. (We all caught the train into town) Wait staff were excellent. Friendly and catered to our needs. Stepped in quickly when one of our group accidently knocked over a glass of wine and were supportive. Everyone enjoyed their food, particularly the Reef and Beef. Food was fresh and well cooked. Would return again and would recommend to others.

Service was friendly and fast. Great place to eat before heading to a show. The food was delicious. The Ginger Olive Platter was plenty of food for 2 and the flavours were amazing. Thank you for a great customer experience.

It was our first time at this restaurant. We were a group of 5 work colleagues celebrating with a year-end lunch. The food was amazing - we got the Ginger Olive platters and the dessert platter. Service was attentive and courteous - amazing really. The coffee was excellent quality - high praise from someone who lives in Melbourne! I ordered a bottle of local Pinot Noir which I thought was just okay. The ambience of the restaurant is elegant and charming on the inside. There is also an outdoor eating area covered by a canopy, but we chose to be inside side Melbourne weather can be unpredictable. Overall I thought the meal was good value equally A$55 per person and that included a bottle of red wine, mains, desserts, plus barista-quality coffee. For Christmas time, this is very good value in Melbourne.
