Founded in 2009 by a couple seeking to bring the authentic flavours of Hungary to Melbourne, the Korona Csárda has become a favourite of Melbourne’s Hungarian community as well as a spot for those with a taste for Easter European flavours.
Our restaurant offers authentic Hungarian recipes, prepared in the time-honoured traditions of the Hungarian kitchen… by Hungarian and Transylvanian chefs. Combining the bedrock dishes of many generations with the Australian taste for hearty eating, the Korona Csarda serves the perfect blend of both.

We had a great night out with my family, celebrating my birthday! We had an excellent quality of authentic Hungarian meals as an all you can eat buffet. My 3 children enjouyed the quality variety of food available and it was a great value for money! The staff was very welcoming and made my birthday special for me. Thank you, we will be back for a Christmas lunch buffet!

We had a really good time, the food was amazing, great vibe, the restaurant accomodated our kids well too and adults wnjoyed complimentary schnapps ddrinks. We also learnt that once a month there is a dancing and live music on premise. We will certainly come back! Thank you!

Nice friendly staff, venue isnt too crowded and food was nice but nothing fancy. However, the value for money lets this place down. At $55 per head for a buffet I wont be going back, they need to drop their price.
