All cancellations/changes to your reservation must be received by phone by 6pm the day before. Any cancellations made after this time will be charged in full, using the credit card on file. If you need to change the no of guests then that information will need to be given to us by 6pm the day before in order for the food to be prepared. We celebrated a friend's 75th birthday at the Britannia Tea House, our entire experience was delightful. The service was fabulous, the food delicious and everyone made the birthday girl feel very special. I loved the feeling of escape when we went inside, quite the contrast to outside!!!

We had a lovely tea. The teas were very nice. Especially the Sticky Toffee Pudding! The sandwiches were good. The scones-YUMMY!. Dessert. We liked the jam filled cookie, but the tiny cookies were dry. The service was excellent. The gift shop was cute and fun. The value got a lesser score because with tax and tip it was a little over $70 each. It was great, but, I am afraid at that price, it was a one time delight.

The ambiance was great and so were the many tea choices. The only improvement I would suggest is serve a petit four and work on blackberry cake,it was more like a muffin. Loved the sun dried tomato tart. Had a wonderful time and loved the decor in the lew.

Fun, eclectic, cutesy. Came here to have some high tea with my three daughters. The place is whimsically decorated and they have a little shop in the back with trinkets and tea stuff available for purchase. Fun experience for a first time tea party with my kiddos. The food menu is pre-selected by the month and you can pick from a wide variety of delicious teas. The food is tasty and plentiful... We went home surprisingly stuffed and took home three boxes! Great place to visit and try at least once =)

I've been to several teas. This was, by far, the best. It was a Lord of the Rings theme. The themed activities and ambiance were wonderful. The food was SO good! The tea menu was most impressive. Service was wonderful. Everything was just so great. We drove for two hours to get there and it was so worth it! We're making plans to go again. I highly recommend it!

We have had afternoon tea when we have visited England, most notably at Kensington Palace, and so we did not really expect much or for it to be anywhere close to those experiences; however, I was very surprised in just how much I enjoyed it. Obviously, it was not a palace, but the decorations and ambience was amazing, the food was delicious and quite filling (you get a lot more food than you do in the UK for the same price). We will definitely be back when we visit our daughter again, and she has already made plans with some of her local friends to come to some of the theme teas. Highly recommend!!

We had a lovely time. Our waitress was excellent. We enjoyed the ambience. We all bought something in the gift shop. The tea was all very good. Some of the food was not up to our expectations. The scones were extremely dry and dense and pretty flavorless. The sausage roll had an unusual taste. The sandwiches were very tasty and we enjoyed them. The potato was very good as well. personally, I think that you should retest some of your sweet recipes. We have done to various locations in the last 10 years. This was our first time at Britannia, but we will come back. It is a bit pricier than the one we go to normally in the La Mesa area, but we realize that it is in a different part of town. We are more than willing to try it again. I hope this is helpful and can be taken in a positive way.

What a joyous experience we had. 7 of us for ladies tea during thanksgiving week. We were pampered, well fed, yummy tea of every type and had a blast. The decor is warm and inviting and reminds you of an English garden. I love all things English and this experience did not disappoint. It was a great experience in a wonderful setup. The food and tea was delicious and great choices and flavors were offered. The staff and service were great. The "savory" selections were very good. We thought the "sweets" could be improved. We loved our tea selections, and the house blend was excellent. We bought some of the salad dressing used on our salad, as it was delicious. We very much enjoyed our afternoon tea.

The food was very well done & delicious. The only negative part of the experience was that somebody accidentally used too much lavender oil in the Bakewell tarts, which they caught before we consumed any. Honestly, the fact that they gave us a heads up & apologized went above & beyond in my opinion.

I loved the service, the food, the tea variety and tea experience. I have been going to many of the tea services in San Diego area as I love the "Afternoon Tea" experience. I think the one thing you lack is intimacy/cozy environment. I think you could accomplish it by having a different table setting with some round tables and a little space in between them. Just a thought for the future.

Our family has celebrated back-to-school time at Selina's former and wonderful new tea rooms for 15 years in a row! The food is always delicious (and clearly made with love--from family recipes!), the service always impeccable, and the setting always beautiful (among the cheery white, flowery tea cups on the table, mine was unique--stunning with dark and moody blues and maroons). We cherish this family time together. Thank you!

The Britannia tea room is very quaint and adorable. Britannia Tearooms is sucha wonderful place to converse, celebrate, and enjoy delicious treats! The Alice in Wonderland tea was such a fun experience. There were riddles and even some AIW history shared. The teas, cakes, and sandwiches are absolutely delicious! The servers are all professional and friendly. I have been there two times this year! Already planning my 3rd visit!

My first time visiting Brittania Tea Rooms since they opened. I previously had one afternoon tea experience at the Mission Hills shoppe. I loved the cute themed decor and nods to Paddington. My friend and I were thoroughly surprised with the interactiveness of the tea. I felt like it really elevated the experience without being too intrusive on enjoying the afternoon tea itself. The games were fun and didnt require a lot of hard work; just needed an openness, sense of fun, and imagination!

I absolutely loved everything about this experience. The vegan menu was phenomenal, the teas were delicious, and the overall environment including service exceeded all my expectations. My entire party were all so pleasantly surprised by the small details and all of the thoughtful additions that were included with the themed tea including making my mother feel very special on her birthday. I can't overstate how special of an experience this was. I cannot wait to come back for another themed tea, special event, or even just by myself on a random day. It was magical!

Brought my sister in law ,visiting from the east coast, for afternoon tea and she loved it all. The ambiance, staff, & most of all the tea & treats were beyond measure. Tea at Britannia never disappoints whether it’s regular or themed, the experience (and it is an experience) is delightful. The food is always delicious, and served with a smile and sometimes humor! The gift shop is packed with treasures! Pick up a bag or 2 of their specialty tea, scones and clotted cream to take home and prolong the experience. If you’re local you will return again and again, if you’re a visitor, it’s a must do!

This was a wonderful experience for me and my daughter who loves to dress up and do tea at home. I’ve never seen her so excited than the moment we stepped in and she saw the teacups set up and the Alice in Wonderland themed room. The food was AMAZING and the tea was delicious! Our afternoon high tea was really marvelous. The owners clearly love their British heritage and show it off to a T no pun intended. The service was great and the food was great and we loved the shop which has an amazing selection of stuff. Our only complaint is minor. We had five people, and we were a little bit cramped on the table.

From the staff to the food to the tea, everything was amazing and way beyond our expectations. The only comment I'd give is that the vegetarian soup was a little bland, but my mom loved the non-vegetarian version of it. Everything was wonderful. We'll be back!
