We had excellent food (salmon special, cioppino), drinks (manhattan, mojito), and service. The prices were reasonable, especially the drinks. Tables were arranged with ample distance between them, and all staff wore masks. When the restaurant was Christophers, we felt the place was quite noisy, but the Current Bistro has provided some baffles that make it quieter.

This is one of our main go to places, and we booked it for a special birthday with some of our oldest friends. We know the owner, and he was happy to greet us personally. And we have been there so often, the wait staff knows us - an added bonus. It's very consistent. The only main complaint (and we realize it's our uncommon criticism) is the portions are too big.

The food was great. The host/owner(?) was friendly and apologetic that we had to wait in spite of reservations - but between the pandemic and awful smoke, it’s hard to fault them for that. We did have to wait quite a while for our meal once we were seated and ordered, and it seemed by then the kitchen should have been more on-the-ball, but the meal was excellent.

Inital arrival was welcoming and the food was good. The waitress seemed put upon though throughout the whole meal. Didn't ask if we wanted anything to drink and literally threw the check on the table. Overall it was ok.
