23+ year old Italian Restaurant in a stand-alone building with an outdoor patio with producing merlot grape vines growing on the trellises, a large three-tier fountain, and a more private rear terrace/sun room (for up to 16 guests). The patio includes an open-top as well as semi-enclosed (3 sides and top), all with overhead heating units. Inside features a full-service bar, a 270 degree central fireplace, and all windows on two sides not looking towards the bar. The menu is predominantly Italian, with some American fare.
Girardi's offers beef/pork/lamb/chicken, seafood (pescatarian), vegetarian meals and can create some Gluten-Free dishes (prepared near non-GF foods). Girardi's marinara is created with San Marzano-style tomatoes. Featuring a variety of super-premium as well as more affordable wine selections, $7.50 house wine by the glass, a good selection of bottled or canned beers, and a great selection of cocktails. Girardi's house-made Tiramisu is unique in the area and is cherished by those who respect the authentic flavor and texture of a "real" Tiramisu. A fine array of desserts (including Cannoli and Affogato), cakes and ice cream round out your dining experience. Note on Reservations: Girardi's does not take reservations for patio seating. Our server was wonderful. The food was essentially excellent, but the "mostly" seafood paella was more like 50/50 seafood/meat with more chicken than I expected. And it was a tad bit extra thick rather than creamy. But it still was very quite good and tasted great. We love the happy bour size portions and half price bottle wine on M/Tu/W. They gave us a free spumoni dessert serving for our son's birthday. All in all, excellent service and food despite my petty complaints about the paella. We will surely return. Girardi's is our go to Italian place in Edmonds.

Hi Ed and thanks for the review. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. What you refer to as "mostly" seafood is actually the title of the menu page. We setup the menus so it is easier to find your favorites in terms of special diets (pescatarian, meat eater, vegetarian). The title of the page you refer to is "Main Dishes -- Mostly Seafood". That page contains all of our dishes that contain seafood. Two of the dishes on the page contain non-seafood, the Linguini Carbonara with Prawns, which has a note in front of it saying it contains Bacon, and your favorite dish, the Paella with a note saying "Contains Land Meats". In fact the same Paella appears at the top of the next page "Main Dishes -- Mostly Land Meats", and this time it has a note in front of saying "Contains seafood". Of course land meats includes sausage, beef, pork, chicken, etc. So, as you see, some dishes have a combination of various meats and we note that where we place it in the menu. However, you cannot disagree about the value the dish provides, whether it is the Happy Hour size or the full Dinner size. The person that served us was so nice and made us all feel so comfortable.
It was special dinner that we were celebrating for my daughters birthday and it was our first time visit. The food was great too. To our surprise at the end of the meal, she brought my daughter a birthday dessert and she was so happy! Thank you for making our evening and experience so nice! We will definitely go back!

The Eggplant Parmison with Spaghetti was outstanding. I had just been in Italy and loved the eggplant there, but Girardi's was just as good if not better! The server was attentive and friendly. Our service was great, attentive without hovering. Our food was wonderful, served hot, perfectly seasoned, and flavorful. Although it was a chilly evening, the restaurant temperature was not cold and not hot but just right. We wore long sleeves, sleeveless might have been a bit cold. The risotto was a bit al dente for our preference but tasted wonderful, and we realize risotto is supposed to be al dente.

Having a reservation got the three of us a table at window next to street -- nice for watching people go by. We arrived at 4 pm so not many others in restaurant. Waitstaff were pleasant and attentive. Food -- spinach salad and 2 cheeseburgers -- were excellent. Yes, a cheeseburger in an Italian food restaurant! Cheeseburger had a 1/2 pound patty plus all the usual additions. Delicious. Hit the spot for a 4 pm early dinner, late lunch. All local COVID-19 requirements met. Also has an attached, semi-outside area with heaters. Wonderful experience.

Food was very good, although most Italian restaurants accompany meals with bread sticks or garlic bread of some kind. For the price, that would be expected. House wine was good and a bargain, but would liked to have seen some bottles in the $20 to $25 range.

Girardi's is our "go to" restaurant for Friday nights. We dined on their patio throughout the pandemic and have now started eating indoors. Great atmosphere and great service. We know most of the servers by name and love the manager Sky! The food is good with ample portions. We never go away hungry! We have eaten there so many times that we know the menu inside out so it would be great if they could mix it up a bit. Other than that, I highly recommend it.

This is such a warm and inviting restaurant. The food and ambience was very nice. The staff was attentive, but had to cover a lot of tables. We understand these are tough times for restaurants, so we really appreciate a fun night out.

The outdoor patio was a beautiful setting to have dinner on a warm summer night. The food was good but not great. They were out of some menu items that we wanted to try. Service was a little slow but our waitress was very kind and made excellent wine suggestions for us.

Nice options for outdoor and open-to-outside-but-actually-indoor tables. Service was prompt and attentive throughout. Menu was extensive, ingredients fresh and portions plentiful, but would not re-order either of the entrees - both were a little too bland for us.

It was a great time with great people. Our service was a bit lacking. The server forgot to bring my dad’s food and couldn’t keep our food/ drinks straight. But the food was so delicious :) thanks!
