This new spot is perfect for a ladies lunch, brunch or meet up of any kind. The owner was super nice and welcoming. The atmosphere was on spot.
The price of the food is a bit much for what you get. If we're going to be splitting items, then the price per person should be significantly less. The drinks were SO good and I would pay those high prices again and again.
Great place, looking forward to going again.

Meh…. Not worth the hype. Service was mediocre… got water at the end of the meal. Food came out raw and was sent back, the “family” style is fun in thought until you see the portions you are supposed to share.(laughable, seriously) and for $35 a person and what you get, the value just isn’t there. I hope they get this figured out or they won’t last long. Also, no menu online, but they make sure to let you know multiple times that you need a reservation.

I loved that it was the feel of a big city restaurant and vibe. The energy and DJ were great as was the owner who accommodated us. I wasn’t a huge fan of sitting next to the DJ (very loud) and there was very little table space for 3 of us especially if we had all ordered drinks. We also had a wait a bit to be seated which I was fine with but my friends were hungry. I appreciate such a fun new space in town!

I celebrated my 50th birthday at the Powder Room and everything was so incredibly beautiful! The space was perfect, the kindness from the staff, the photo ops , the bubbly !! . Everything was amazing - all my friends want to have their next party there!

The ambiance is great- it’s so cute and the cocktail presentation is wonderful. I wasn’t impressed with the food at all. The lettuce in my salad was soggy, the potatoes were all at the bottom of the plate and not good, and the ahi and dressing had no flavor at all. My friend and I both didn’t eat even half of our salads & we ordered different ones.

The entire experience was amazing. It was rather interesting the emphasis on respecting the duration of your reservation. However, the table that was assigned to us the party prior ended up staying past their reservation by about 20 minutes and nothing was done. Luckily McKayla are amazing. Server got us settled at the bar and we took a different seat. However, if the establishment wants patrons to be mindful of length of reservation, there should be steps to reinforce it as well

Absolutely wonderful, staff very attentive,said hello and nice to see you again. I am a bubble club member and have been for almost a year. I have taken atleast 4 to 5 groups of ladies for both diner and brunch. I love the perks, like friends w benefits card is a brilliant idea, and the events are EPIC!!! Our server Kelly was incredible & made our experience. We had a big party (17) & she was on point.
Ambience is incredible.
Food was good, but not great. Steaks were not cooked to our requests with 2 people sending them for “rework”.
Although a bit pricy, we love your place & know it’s part of the experience.

We had a great time celebrating my sister’s 30th birthday here. Only few things that bothered us was the birthday girls dinner order wasn’t put in, she had to finish her meal when we were all done with ours. We brought a cake and werent made aware theres a “cake cutting fee” of $25. I understand that some restaurants can charge a corkscrew fee if bringing outdoor alcohol so i guess maybe some restaurants then charge dessert fees, it would of been nice to know from the start that theres a dessert fee then having to be caught off guard at the end of the bill and being confused with the term “cake cutting fee” when no one in the staff cut our cake or even offered a knife.
Spending time with family and taking photos with their pretty decorations was lovely! I wouldnt come back here unless i just wanted a drink and snap photos with my girlfriends. Its more of a lounge vibe VS a restaurant vibe.

It was such a treat to enjoy dinner with you on opening night!! Everything was wonderful, and I can’t wait for brunch today! I ordered the steak, which was delicious, and I especially loved the grilled vegetables! The chef grills them just like I do at home. This is rated for Brunch service. I came with a very dear friend (we are both in our low 60s) that was excited to experience this new restaurant in the Tacoma area. I had made a reservation online prior to the date and that was very easy to complete. Upon entering, the hostess found my reservation and we were escorted to our table (inner area of main dining seating. We did observe the tables were very tightly packed in, so much so that when the server came to take our order she had to squeeze in between the tables. This definitely was not appreciated when it came to her serving the table next to us and her dress/costume was brushing over our table where there were food plates. The seating arrangement made for a noisier experience and less ambience where you felt you should be relaxing and enjoying the company you are with. This kind of restaurant experience may need to be targeted to a more specific age range where that would probably be overlooked. Also, we felt that the food options were limited compared to the drink selections and were overpriced for the plate size.

What a wonderful experience! The restaurant is so cute and Instagram worthy. Ivy was such a wonderful server! Service was uniform with the exception of the busser in a bralette. It actually wouldn’t have been that noticeable except the garment was continuously being adjusted.
Some training needed on table side mimosas (how many gummies). But the experience was so cute and interactive.
The biscuits were delicious. Like seriously yummy. The potatoes were a bit bland and I didn’t try the salad. Chorizo tacos were on point. Also, huge shout out to brunch punch. I could’ve done without the big strawberries in the drink plopping into glasses, but we couldn’t even taste the alcohol and they were deliciously stealthy.

The venue was very relaxing filled with gorgeous decor but the venue is way too small, the table wasn’t sturdy which led to the center piece falling over and the setting can add more value due to the potential of the establishment being more engaging and feeling less crowded. The brunch menu was awful. I unfortunately left hungry and my food was over cooked and felt like my course was not worth the price. I have lived in tacoma my whole life and I can say the brunch here is nothing compared to the hobnob or the harvester. The food at the powder room deserves more flavor, value, and accommodating portion sizes. I was very dissatisfied with my first time experience with my friends and family and they also agree with the feedback provided.

We had a group of 5 and shared a champagne and a wine sampler, which were both excellent, before ordering beverages. The bees knees, and version of it with the bubbly finish were both disappointing.
We shared the hummus appetizer, which everyone thought was good, and a bread and cheese plate that was fine.
Two people got the gnocchi and both found it to be disappointing. It had so much chorizo in it it really should’ve been listed as a chorizo dish. It was oily, and the oil made the gnocchi mushy. Two people got the steak and one of them thought it was good and the other thought it was ok.
The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and beautiful.

Brunch at The Powder Room is an amazing experience, from the staff, to the decor to the amazing menu, it has it all. We went with our kids and my daughter loved the waffle tower, and my husband and I LOVED the Eggs Benedict (and the Bloody Mary and Champagne of course :). Really an amazing place all the way around. I already have reservations to go back this Friday!

Space not ready arrived about 3 minutes before our scheduled time, waitrd while set ip tables, told yo go order at bar while we waited for space, bar said they would serve as soon as space was ready. Food service was slow we waited over an hour and 15 min gor meals 3 meals were so cold 2 never ate , some of us were hungry cold was better then none. 35.00 to not eat was a nit spendy plus drinks were had. Cute place nut wont recommend, may give another shot sometime but not with a party of larger then 6. We jad reserved for 16 .

The $25/person no show or table time altering fee is excessive and very not-Tacoma. The food was good (egg dishes, cinnamon roll) but only the cinnamon roll arrived with sufficient warmth. The family style burrata salad arrived without any serving utensils. The family style potatoes--what's up with that? Diced potatoes are not an appetizer, you want them with the egg dishes but by the time the eggs come out the potatoes are cold. The sparkling wines are good but not using flutes means smaller pours than average and makes the whole experience more expensive, and it's already steep at $35 for brunch when so little is offered for it. The pumpkin "biscuits" (more like muffins) were good but we had to ask for butter for them...who serves "biscuits" without butter??? Service was attentive and friendly. Decor was cute for teenagers. Clearly you are looking for a very specific demographic and I am not it. Too bad, cause I LOVE champagne.

I booked this restaurant for my wife’s birthday dinner. And they were closed when we showed up even though my reservation was confirmed! Awful experience 0/10!

with a time allotment ....it was 40 minutes and we still hadn't been serve the appetizer ( smoked salmon on bread) There were only 3 other tables at that time I believe Chicken entree was good,with adistinctive flavor but the lack of any real meal additions was very noticeable.

The drinks, staff and atmosphere were phenomenal. You can definitely see a few kinks as it is a new business but nothing that won't be smoothed out with some time. The food was extremely disappointing. It was frustrating paying higher end prices for frozen vegetables and little salt. The ingredients tasted cheap and really lessened the experience.

Our server was nice, we just didn’t feel like the food and drinks really lived up to the high prices. We had a late brunch and most of the food came out semi warm, it seemed rushed. Also the table side Bloody Mary was very underwhelming, thought it would be like other table side drinks where they mix and present it to you. In reality we picked out garnishes off a cart and then had to put them on the stick to put in our drinks and also pour the vodka in the glass ourselves, definitely not worth the extra money at $20 per drink. Price far exceeded the overall experience, most likely will not go back or recommend.

Food was ok, not somewhere I would go for a dinner. The opportunity to do better with the food would bring in more and more people, so I would consider that for sure. Drinks were amazing, decor was great, it was really cold and we weren't by the door. The DJ was loud, and while it was fun and the music was good, it was more difficult to have a conversation then expected. Would I go back -- for drinks 100%, for dinner or brunch no. I love the vibe though, so hopefully if you can get the food dialed in!!!!

Enjoyed the experience. Really liked the DJ, however, found it hard to hear my friends as we sat at a table near the DJ so it was loud. I would consider repositioning the speakers . Table was small for 3 people, challenging to manage our plates and drinks on such a small surface. Food was good. The biscuits were delicious and the brunch was tasty, It is pricey so I would return for a special occasion!

the cutest place and sweetest staff. one of the owners greeted my mom and i when we came in. we were a few minutes late due to finding parking and she took it upon herself before we got there to move our reservation down 15 minutes which i really appreciated! i took my mom in for her birthday and the owner gave her this really cute drink on the house (it was a little table side trick if you will) that’s not on the menu yet. we also got to try out some secret menu items the chef is testing out and gave our feedback. our server was also so sweet and cool (woman with blonde hair, unfortunately forgot her name) and gave us a little tour of the place when we were done with our meal. a very lovely experience and we will be returning!

In my opinion this place is over hyped and over priced. The Brunch deal with family style servings is not worth the money drinks are small for the price. Our group of 7-9 people had to share small portions of muffins salad and potato for the brunch. when we ask for more of the side (that we had to share) was told would have to charge us extra

We tried to enjoy a brunch for 1 adult & 1 child (age 6). The text I received from the phone number listed said the location does allow minors. That’s great but what will the children eat… $35 avocado toast & a $12 sprite. We opted for the $12 Sprite & A microwaved blazing hot cinnamon roll ( which we shared). I asked for the Kiss My Paloma was served the Smoky Paloma. When I brought it to the attention of our experience maker, she POLITELY removed my garnish from my drink, placed it on my plate and took my incorrect drink away. Minutes later she returned with my naked Paloma.
I wouldn’t suggest this experience to many. In addition to all the above, 20% gratuities & a service fee and a place to leave a tip. Wowzers!
With some operational & customer experience upgrades, I’d love to see what the next phase could be.

I booked a table for Mother's Day, and it was a terrible experience overall. We waited an hour for drinks and received our food two and a half hours late. We arrived at 1:30 PM, but the food didn’t arrive until 4:00 PM, which is unacceptable. It's frustrating when a place overbooks and cannot handle the volume of customers.

This review is based on food and service only. I did not purchase any alcoholic beverages but I hear they are good. The menu is limited and I liked that. The food was okay, I was not impressed by the flavors and I think my plate could have had more of the main description of my dish (I ordered a chorizo frittata and there was hardly any chorizo). Service.?.? We were the first people to arrive and it felt like we were going to receive royal treatment but that is not the way it went. We were ignored for long periods, we asked for drinks, salt and pepper for the table, etc., and the requests were ignored/forgotten and we had to get up from the table a few times to ask the waitresses for assistance. And they were not busy, most of them were standing behind the bar chatting, it was quite annoying. Chat all you want, but bring me the stuff I asked for. The best thing about this place is the ambiance. It was beautifully decorated, so fun, so modern, great vibe! I loved that! Perfect place for the group I was with.

We loved the fun happy atmosphere and the food was absolutely amazing, some of the best food we have ever had in Tacoma! The only thing we were disappointed in was the very very small pours of champagne. The only reason I’m mentioning this is because we were all a bit shocked at the pour/price ratio. A comment was made at our table “ this could possibly hurt their business”. I don’t mean this comment in a criticizing way but a helpful way, it’s just what we noticed. Other than that, I can’t wait to go back go back for another delicious meal!

EXCELLENT food and service. The pink thing is a bit overdone and detracts from the food - it makes it seem like just girly place to party and drink. I think this is fine but if the decor were more neutral and grown up it would do better justice to what we thought was very good food at good prices. Our table was wobbly and too small for three - plus again, a tablecloth or nicer table would do the food justice. Also, the lighting in the second room is way too bright. All this said, I would come again for the food and the bubbly.
