Let's Get Hard Rocked

Burger

Def Leopard once famously asked the American populace, “Do you wanna get rocked?!”  And judging by their record sales in 1992, the answer was a resounding “Yes!”  If you’re in the Gaslamp Quarter and your entourage is getting hungry, there is really only one option to get rocked while you get grub and that is, of course, the world famous Hard Rock Café.

This is definitely the place to go for those of you about to rock.  AC/DC would salute you, trust me.  With memorabilia and gear from some of the greatest musicians and bands of the last half century adorning the walls, you’ll feel like you just walked in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, except the Hard Rock Cafe serves awesome food and you’re in beautiful San Diego, not…Cleveland (No offense to Drew Carey or Dennis Kucinich.  Also, in case you were wondering, Devo was formed at Kent State, which is a scant 2 hours from Cleveland, but I digress.).  With gold records, guitars, and an actual Harley Davidson parked in the middle of the bar, Hard Rock will have you wondering why you ever gave up on drum lessons as you salivate over your Hickory-Smoked Bar-B-Que Combo plate.

Specializing in rock-n-roll and tasty eats (two things everyone needs to survive), this Gaslamp mainstay is the perfect place to meet up for a casual drink (The bar holds up to 75 guests and has happy hour from 4-8 Mon-Fri and again 10-Close Thu-Sun!) or plan a special event.  Have the seasoned chefs prepare you and your roadies some Hickory Smoked Chicken Wings as an appetizer or dig in to their Legendary 10oz Burger with thick bacon and house-made onion rings.  They also offer a wide variety of salads and sandwiches, if you aren’t one to commit to the cheeseburger.  If you’re planning a large get-together, the professionals at the Hard Rock Café can do everything from menu planning to DJs and live bands for your event.  You want a tattoo artist there to permanently commemorate your big promotion?  Their events coordinator will take care of that for you too.  Seriously.  They’re that good.  If that sounds a little too raucous for your lifestyle, say you’re only looking for a relaxed, unpretentious environment to enjoy an evening, consider going acoustic, and rent out one of the private rooms for hors d’oeurves or a buffet package.

Hard Rock Café can and will take care of you if it’s a party of one at the bar, or you rented out the entire restaurant, ditched the table and chairs, and rocked out with 250 of your closest friends.  Their private room seats 40, or take up the entire main floor with a party of 70.  No matter how many you rock with, make sure it’s done at the Hard Rock.
