Summer Crab at Truluck's

Crab Legs

Alaska is home to incredibly rich and fertile waters which produce some of the world's best seafood. At the North-West corner of Alaska, near the Bering Strait, Norton Sound is only open to fishing during the summer months as the Arctic Sea ice cap travels south and makes the waters difficult to navigate. Truluck's is taking advantage of the limited season and flying in fresh Norton Sound Red King Crab. The availability of the crab is extremely limited, only offering it for ten days. The crab will only be promoted until around July 15th, with supplies quickly running out. The crab is priced at $42 per pound and each crab weighs in at two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half pounds.

If you can't make it in during this limited time frame, Truluck's also offers summer Dungeness Crab and Maine Jonah Crab. Monday's they serve unlimited Jonah Crab for $59 which includes a side, soup, and salad. July is the best time to sample crab until fishing season opens up again in November, so make reservations soon to enjoy some of the freshest seasonal crabs in San Diego.
