In the heart of Ohio, two friends with restaurant experience and a love for bringing people together with memorable food and beverage began a partnership. They dreamed of an upscale bistro with affordable American fare. Neighbors and friends would find a table they could call their own and always feel welcome. Chef Todd Uhlir and Jeffrey Finklestein brought their dream to life in their hometown of Troy, Ohio with Basil’s on Market. The name was inspired by the idea of fresh, local ingredients and the restaurant’s Market Street location.

1812 LOUNGE - The newly concepted 1812 Lounge casual dining, features a cozy bar and unique 1800’s mirrored chandelier. The space can accommodate 30, and The lounge can be combined with the Garden Room and the outdoor courtyard for larger group events. THE GARDEN ROOM - This atrium-style space has brick floors & is decorated with plants & flowers. This space is perfect for luncheons, rehearsal dinners, & bridal or baby showers. This location, nestled in the trees, at the intersection of Livingston Avenue and Route 256, has expanded twice and now seats one hundred and twenty. There are only two reasons for this expansion, hard work and....the food. Authentic Italian dishes, prepared by Mama Scali and the rest of the family, Father Antonio, Frank and wife Judy, bring the faithful back time and time again.​
