Blue Point's Taste of the South

Blue Point Steak

For the past 50 years, the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of San Diego County have been helping the children of San Diego reach their potential. Blue Point Coastal Cuisine has found a way to give back to this deserving charity. Their Menu with Meaning series continues this month with a menu titled “Taste of the South.” This creative menu comes at a cost of $55 per person, with 20% of the proceeds benefitting the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of San Diego County. Available throughout the month of November, this menu features four delectable courses for charitable diners.

Kicking off with a strong first course, diners are given a choice of Steamed Oysters or Braised Pork and Macaroni & Cheese Croquettes. The second course offers Yaki Mein, a noodle dish with beef and boiled egg, or a more traditional Mixed Green Salad. Patrons really get a feel for Southern cuisine with the three selections available in the entrée portion of this special menu: Lobster and Shrimp Jambalaya, Oyster and Snapper Etouffee, or Sausage and Chicken Creole. This meal comes to a sweet finish with either a Chocolate Lava Cake or Bananas Foster.

Whether diners are looking for a way to help out their favorite charity or are simply searching for a unique menu, Blue Point Coastal Cuisine happily obliges.
