Cohn Group Mother's Day Dining Ideas

Seafood Specialty

Celebrate Mother’s Day with the Cohn Restaurant Group this year—Bo Beau Kitchen and Bar, 333 Pacific, Island Prime/C Level, and The Prado will all be featuring special menus with complimentary champagne to commemorate the leading ladies in our lives. Similarly, Indigo Grill, Gaslamp Strip Club, Blue Point Coastal Cuisine, La Jolla Strip Club, and Corvette Diner are treating moms to a free meal as the restaurants’ way of sharing the love.

On May 8th, from 11:00am-4:00pm, Bo Beau Kitchen is serving a 3-course prix fixe menu complete with a complimentary champagne, mimosa, or bellini. The classic French bistro’s Mother’s Day menu highlights include the Goat Cheese Spinach Quiche, the Lobster Mac + Cheese, and the Chocolate Soufflé. See the full, $31.95, menu HERE.

333 Pacific is offering its own 3-course prix fixe menu on Mother’s Day, for $49.95. Guests may choose from a satisfyingly balanced selection of seafood specialties and prime-cut meat dishes like the Coastal Clam Chowder, the Roast New Zealand Lamb Chop, and the Blueberry and Lemon Mascarpone Tart. Click HERE to view the full menu (served from 11:00am-7:00pm) that includes a free glass of champagne.

Come Mother’s Day, Island Prime’s 3-course prix fixe menu features an amuse bouche of Manchego Cheese with a dried fruit compote and fresh green apple. Other notable dishes like the Fennel Crusted Diver Scallop, the 10oz Slow Roasted Prime Rib, and the Brownie Cheesecake (not to mention the comped glass of champagne) show Mom how much you care. Look HERE for the $49.95 menu—guests can enjoy it from 11:00am-7:00pm.

Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch is all the buzz at The Prado. Seven delectable buffet displays and stations including the Omelettes Made to Order selection, the Chilled Seafood Display, and the Carving Station are open to visit again and again throughout the meal. Adults dine for $59.95, ages 6-12 feast for $16.95, and babes 6-and-younger indulge for free.  In proper brunch style, this spread will be available from 10:00am-2:30pm on May 8th. Visit HERE to see all the menu details.

In addition to these decidedly delectable menus, four other Cohn Group restaurants have our mothers’ happiness and appetites in mind. With the purchase of two additional entrees, Mom’s entrée selection is complimentary of the house at Indigo Grill, Gaslamp Strip Club, Blue Point Coastal Cuisine, La Jolla Strip Club, and Corvette Diner.

Indigo Grill is located in the trendy yet laid-back Little Italy neighborhood and features an equally artistic and appetizing menu of Latin American and Pacific Rim fusion cuisine orchestrated by Executive Chef Deborah Scott. Both brunch (9:30am-1:30pm) and dinner (5:00pm-Close) are served on the weekends, giving Mother’s Day revelers multiple dining options on May 8th. The Pipian Crusted Brie, the Chocolate Bacon Pancakes, and the Cast Iron Skillet House Hash with Chorizo are only some of the brunch favorites. For dinner, the Wild Mushroom Fettuccine, the Kaffir Lime Duck, and Mojo Bone-in New York steak draw the crowds.

Both the Gaslamp Strip Club and La Jolla Strip Club offer guests a fun and interactive dining experience—these two “grill-your-own” steak lounges are for the 21-and-up crowd, giving us older kids the opportunity to actually cook for Mom without having to bother with dirty dishes. In addition to their sassy selection of premium cocktails and mixed drinks, the Strip Club boasts a menu of deliciously filling plates and a grill master’s dream team of 21-day aged Angus beef cuts and kabobs. The 8oz Filet Mignon is a decadently lean and tender choice, while the 20oz Porterhouse Steak is the epitome of a meat-lover’s paradise.

Located in downtown San Diego, Blue Point Coastal Cuisine takes a hook-line-and-sinker approach to its impressive seafood-centric menu. Mom may like to kick off her special meal with one (or two) of Blue Point’s signature cocktails—for example, the Moscow Mule is made with Russian Standard vodka, Gosling’s Ginger Beer, and fresh lime. The Blue Point Oyster Bar boasts savory delights like the Ahi and Hiramasa Sashimi and the Assorted Fresh Oysters. The Maine Lobster Trio is culinary opulence and the 60 Hour Boneless Short Rib satisfies one’s savory tooth.

For the family with kids and the family that’s kid at heart, the Corvette Diner is a kickin’ good time! This 50’s inspired eatery mixes the perfect recipe for a refreshingly retro dining retreat that also happens to serve up some quality American comfort food in the process. From its authentic soda fountain and milk shakes to its roaring Rock n’ Roll soundtrack, no nostalgic element is lost in translation here. The little ones can burn off their impending sugar highs at the Corvette Diner’s Gaming Garage while Mom and team sit back with a sweet treat drink, 100% natural Angus beef burger, and/or a fudgy dessert.

Happy Mother’s Day! May your family enjoy good times and great food this year!
