All beer lovers’ unite! San Diego Beer Week starts on November 4th, 2011, and most of San Diego’s microbreweries are showcasing their best. Beer Week is a ten-day countywide festival to promote San Diego’s brewing history and unite beer enthusiasts from all around. In addition, San Diego Beer Week promotes local breweries, restaurants, pubs, and other businesses that have ties with the craft beer community. Restaurants like SD Tap Room and Mistral are participating in Beer Week by highlighting different breweries and creating entrees showcasing select beers.

SD Tap Room is showcasing a different brewery and their specialty brews every day during the week. Also, on November 9th from 7:00pm-8:30pm, Greg Koch from Stone Brewing Company will be having a book signing for his new book, The Brewer’s Apprentice, a great gift for the upcoming  holiday season for your beer fanatic friend or loved one.

Mistral is known for their fine French cuisine. However for San Diego Beer Week, Mistral and different local breweries are working hand-in-hand to provide a prix fixe menu that showcases Head Chef Patrick Ponsaty's award-winning French cuisine paired with select craft beers. On November 11th from 6:00pm-9:00pm, Mistral is collaborating with local brewer Karl Strauss and providing an array of delicious entrées like Poached Pear in Hefewizen and Butter Caramel Sauce paired with Windandsea Wheat Hefewizen.

San Diego Beer Week will be a time to celebrate your love for craft beer and soak in the history of San Diego’s growing beer community. However, don’t wait because this festival doesn’t last forever. The last day to celebrate is November 13th, so head to your local participates and grab a beer or two with your friends and loved ones!
