Founded in 2009 by a couple seeking to bring the authentic flavours of Hungary to Melbourne, the Korona Csárda has become a favourite of Melbourne’s Hungarian community as well as a spot for those with a taste for Easter European flavours. Our restaurant offers authentic Hungarian recipes, prepared in the time-honoured traditions of the Hungarian kitchen… by Hungarian and Transylvanian chefs. Combining the bedrock dishes of many generations with the Australian taste for hearty eating, the Korona Csarda serves the perfect blend of both. We are an Italian/Modern Australian Seafood restaurant with a wide choice of vegetarian meals along with vegan options, we are a cocktail and wine Bar, we stock non alcoholic spirits, wine and beer for non drinkers.

We are a family owned business, first opening our doors in September 2017 and have been blessed to have landed here in the arms of such a beautiful and supportive community. Owner and Head Chef Sang Tran, originally from Toronto, Canada began his curiosity of food very early on having trained in Lyon, France and Sicily, Italy.
