There is paella, and then there is paella.  There is you and some friends having one too many sangrias and throwing everything in to a pan of rice, and then there is the award-winning dish from the kind folks at Romesco Baja Med Bistro.  This happy little establishment specializes in Mexican cuisine with a Mediterranean flare, bringing a fine dining experience to you with a casual vibe.  

Romesco Baja Med is not just a spot for an informal yet stylish dinner though.  With happy hour 3 pm to 7 pm, half off tapas in the bar on Tuesdays, and live entertainment on certain evenings (Lou Fanucchi on Wednesdays for Italian Pasta Nights, and Trio Los Ticos on Thursdays), this Bonita favorite is a welcoming destination for the entire family.

Their wine list is designed with the Baja region specifically in mind.  If you aren’t in the mood for vino, try their specialty tamarind flavored martini or of course any one of their fabulous tequilas. Designed to resemble the numerous bistros that dot the landscape of Europe and the Mediterranean, small, intimate tables are surrounded by photographs of the Guadalupe Valley.
