San Diego's Gaslamp District: Saint Patrick's Day Hot Spot

St. Patrick's Day

Flaunt your Irish Pride and take part in the green-infused festivities for the 21 and up crowd happening on March 17th from 4:00pm until Midnight this St. Patrick's Day at shamROCK 2011 in the Gaslamp. Tickets are $25.00 in advance and $30.00 on the day of the event. Proceeds from shamROCK benefit the Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation which promotes the educational, historical and cultural development of the Gaslamp Quarter. Tickets include in-and-out privileges, specials, and no cover charge for over twenty of the Gaslamp's most popular night clubs and restaurants. Begin your night by whetting your appetite with green beer, Jameson Irish Whiskey, and chow down on some traditional Irish cuisine from The Field; the hotspot for all things Irish this St. Patty's Day. There will be three stages of live entertainment including bands like the Young Dubliners, the Fooks, and Lexington Field. It does not take a four leaf clover to find the pot of gold (or in this case a ride home) at the end of the night--shamROCK's designated driver program offers free rides home anywhere in San Diego County to anyone with a shamROCK wristband. If you need a food break to absorb all of that green beer here are some restaurants that offer food and drink specials and no cover charge with a shamRock wristband for those that are craving something more exotic than traditional Irish Fare: Croce's, Acqua Al 2, La Fiesta, Ocean Room, and Urban Bar and Grill. Party like an Irishman; Eat, drink, and jig the night away!
