The City of Angels' rich history survives in the walls of Yamashiro, one of the city's oldest and most prized establishments. This now Cal-Asian cuisine dining palace has served the fine city of Los Angeles (as well as international dignitaries) in one capacity or another since 1914, and emanates its original grandiose opulence and elegance today. Yamashiro is perched atop the Hollywood Hills, offering unparalleled skyline views during the day and night. Once on the grounds, stroll through the newly renovated Inner Courtyard the Japanese gardens home to content Koi fish. You may also marvel at Yamashiro's 600-year-old pagoda that was brought all the way from Japan. Once inside, guests indulge on the restaurant's contemporary Asian and Japanese dishes in a variety of rooms. For example, the Koi Room seats up to 40 guests and overlooks the Garden Court, which houses a Japanese Zen Garden and Koi Pond. The main dining room and cocktail lounge is tiered in design to provide each guest with full access to the restaurant's spectacular views. And as if these weren't reason enough to visit Yamashiro, the restaurant features a number of appetizing specials and events to entice us even more.

If you're heading down the hill to the Hollywood Bowl, Yamashiro's Dine and Ride Dinner Menu includes valet parking at the restaurant, a three-course prix fixe menu, and shuttle service to the Hollywood Bowl for $64 per person. These dining packages are only available upon reservation, and will be arranged to coordinate with the times of the event you're attending at the Hollywood Bowl. The Dine and Ride special also includes Cirque du Soleil's "Iris" at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.

Once again, Yamashiro is hosting a free weekly event that celebrates farm-fresh produce, healthy community involvement, family-friendly entertainment, and picture-perfect SoCal scenery: the Yamashiro Farmers Market. Visit every Thursday, from 5:00pm-9:00pm, and partake in an evening of live music, wine tasting, amazing food, and fresh produce. Free shuttle service is available from the Christian Science Church (on La Brea and Hollywood Blvd.) and paid parking is offered at the restaurant.
