San Diego Restaurant Week is approaching quickly and will be happening September 18th -23.rd This year over 160 restaurants are participating, offering 3-course menus for $20, $30 or $40 per person. Make sure to book reservations in advance to avoid waiting!

$20 Menus

Both Aladdin and Toast Enoteca & Cucina restaurants will be offering 3-course menus for $20 a person.

Aladdin, located in Hillcrest, offers both Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine within a causal atmosphere. Their menu will feature such dishes as the Falafel appetizer and their Aladdin Pizza.

Toast Enoteca & Cucina's menu will include such dishes as the Cavolfiore Al Forno, oven baked cauliflower in their pomodoro sauce, or their Gluten Free Pizza. The restaurant is tucked away in Downtown next to Petco Park, specializing in Italian food in a relaxing yet intimate setting.

$30 Menus

Crab Catcher, Del Mar Rendezvous, and Osteria Panevino, among many other participcating restaurants, will offer $30 3-course dinner menus.

Crab Catcher at La Jolla offers a breath-taking ocean view. This casually elegant spot offers a relaxed and quiet environment where you can enjoy fresh seafood. Their special $30 menu will include such dishes as their Local Spiny Lobster Bisque and the Bairdi Crab Pappardelle, with bering sea bairdi crabmeat, yellow teardrop tomatoes, roasted garlic basil sauce, and grana padano parmesan.

With a serene atmosphere, Del Mar Rendezvous serves contemporary fare, with dishes originating from many regions in China and other select Asian countries. Diners can enjoy traditional Chinese cooking techniques with a modern presentation while taking in the beautiful ocean breezes provided by the Pacific Ocean. Their special $30 per person restaurant week menu will include dishes such as their Five Spice Braised Beef, braised for 4 hours in a soy and 5 spice marinade to make it tender, and served over sauteed baby bok choy and boiled shrimp and chive dumplings (handmade dumplings filled with shrimp and chive) served with medium spice dumpling sauce on top.

Located in the heart of San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter, Osteria Panevino is an authentic Italian restaurant whose warm and inviting interior and casual atmosphere combines to create a serene and comforting environment for dinners to enjoy some of their classic Tuscan-inspired dishes. Start off with the Melanzane Farcite, slices of eggplant stuffed with ricotta and parmigiano cheese, topped with fresh tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese and make sure to finish the meal on a sweet note with Tiramisu.

Other restaurants offering $30 menus include: Chart House, Firenze Trattoria, Peohe's, Osetra, Firefly Restaurant and Bar, Humphreys, The Melting Pot, and Greystone the Steakhouse.  

$40 Menus

Last but not least, these restaurants will be pulling out all of the stops for Restaurant Week, offering $40 menus: Acqua Al 2, Kitchen 1540 and Donovan's of Downtown.

Located in the Gaslamp District, Acqua Al 2 offers a warm atmosphere with a wide array of authentic Tuscan-style dishes. They use the same menu, recipes, and cooking techniques as their sister restaurant, the original Acqua Al 2, located in Florence. Enjoy such items as the Filetto All'Aceto Balsamico, hand carved filet mignon topped with balsamic vinegar glaze or their homemade Cheesecake.

Kitchen 1540 prides itself on using fresh and natural food items in its farm-to-plate cuisine. The comfortable, modern setting produces a simple yet refined atmosphere for diners. Try their Natural Beef Tenderloin with smoked potato croquettes, lobster mushrooms, and a tomato-cabernet reduction or the Pumpkin Panna Cotta, pumpkin cake with hazelnuts and caramel.

In the mood for steak? Enjoy succulent strips of steak at Donovan's of Downtown and experience great service set to a classically luxurious atmosphere. Start off with a fresh and crisp Caesar Salad and move on to the 6oz Prime Filet & Shrimp Scampi in white wine scampi sauce served with smashed potatoes and fresh vegetables.

Bertrand at Mister A's, Croce's, Flavor Del Mar, Donovan's Steak and Chop House in La Jolla, Donovan's Prime Seafood, Red Tracton's, Pacifica Del Mar,Hexagone, Bernard'O, Mille FleursRoppongi Restaurant & Sushi Bar,and Tapenade are also offering $40 menus.
